Creating a safe and joyful environment for the Queer Base Café, is this something for you? You want to provide a couch, a room for short or long term and be part of our emergency housing group? You have legal skills and would like to help within our legal advice group?

If you’re interested in joining Queer Base Buddies, focused on supporting the Queer Base Café, here’s what to know: Buddies provide companionship, listen, and act as partners in finding a place within the community and as community members, they share their knowledge and skills. We organize activities like crafting, karaoke, game nights, and more for the café.

If you want to be part of the Emergency Housing Group with the aim to provide a sleeping place for example for queer refugees who are living in the provinces and need a night or two to come to our counseling, join some queer activities, parties or want to be part of Vienna Pride, that is the right context for you. If you have an empty room, short or long term for (temporarily) homeless queer refugees, let us know.

If you are interested in the legal aspect of our work you can join our Legal Advice Team which supports queer refugees with applying for asylum, preparing their interview, accompanying them to the BFA, writing statements and so on. There are many ways to provide legal aid… You can find more infos on our legal advice afforts here.
